Bruce Barnard is the driving force behind Barnard Donegan Insurance, serving as the majority owner and leading the agency to success since he began his insurance career in 1973 with Donegan Insurance Agency Inc. in Seguin, Texas. After graduating from Abilene Christian University with a degree in Business, Bruce has spent over 50 years working as a producer and agency owner in Guadalupe, Bexar, and surrounding counties. In 1993, Bruce purchased the Donegan Insurance Agency Inc. and transformed it into the “Your Trusted Choice Agency” known as BDI, which now has an additional location in New Braunfels.

With a unique insight and understanding of public entities, Bruce’s experience extends beyond the insurance industry. He served six years as Mayor of Universal City and three years on the Judson ISD school board in the 1980s. This experience has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the risks and challenges faced by public entities, allowing him to provide tailored insurance solutions for this sector.
